Ensuring a well-rounded educational experience

Anne Wallington will be the new Deputy Principal/ Head of Senior School for Lauriston Girls’ School. In this position Anne will lead and manage the activities of the students and teachers in alignment with the School vision, values and mission.

Anne’s educational career has been centred around the education of girls, with this focus driven from her short-term secondment to a university career department and developed further during her postgraduate studies.

Anne commenced with Methodist Ladies College (MLC) in January 2006 in her current position of Head of Senior School.  As Head of Senior School Anne holds responsibility for the leadership of staff, the leadership and management of the operational and strategic direction of the Senior School.  In her MLC career Anne has achieved a great deal with notable achievements including instigating a process of continuous review and improvement to develop key findings from the Schools review, chairing a major review of the school structure and overseeing multiple IB and VCE VET curriculum reviews.  Prior to joining MLC, Anne spent eleven years with Lauriston Girls’ School.  Originally commencing as an Economics and History Teacher, Anne undertook Head of Department and Program Coordinator roles before spending three years as the Head of Senior School.  A member of the School Executive and Chair of the Senior School management group, Anne maintained her teaching and examiner positions.
