Australian IWF celebrates Hillary Clinton as 2017 Hall of Fame Honoree

From 25-27 October, I was most fortunate to attend the 2017 International Womens Forum (IWF) World Leadership Conference in Houston Texas, with 20 other fabulous Aussie members of the International Womens Forum Australia (www.IWFAustralia.org).

I am a Founding Member of IWFA, which is part of the global IWF organisation  (http://iwforum.org) dedicated to building better leadership across careers, continents and cultures, by investing in the future of women’s leadership.

The absolute highlight of our Conference was the truly inspirational Honorable Hillary Rodham Clinton who was inducted into the IWF International Hall of Fame at the Gala Dinner on the last evening. Her message to each of us was to speak up and speak out, to keep moving forward, and to remember how important it is to bring young women along with us as our future leaders.

Global women, global citizens, changing the world

Together with hundreds of IWF leadership participants, I was totally inspired by speakers and moderators who are great and passionate women from almost everywhere on earth.

Outstanding women such as Dr Ellen Oacha, the Director of the NASA Johnson Space Centre; Mary Glackin, Director of Watson Content and The Internet of Things Platform at IBM, and our own Zoe Daniel, Washington Bureau Chief for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation covered socially important topics such as Global Health, Energy Economics, Women in Space, the Mars test Expeditions, Investing in the Future, and Ideas Remaking the World.

The achievements and social contribution of these CEOs, Chairs, Vice-Presidents, Professors, Directors, Brigadier-Generals and Lead Economists continue to change the world for the better.

As an attendee of the 2017 World Leadership Conference hosted by the incredible women of IWF Houston,  I had a rip-roarin’, hum-dingin’ time not only at the Conference but also through a multitude of culturally and intellectually stimulating experiences in the incredibly diverse city of Houston, Texas.

From Houston to Melbourne Australia – IWF Conference in May 2018

I am proud to say we will be hosting next year’s IWF Cornerstone Conference in Melbourne from 2-4 May 2018. We expect more than 600 IWF leaders with their families and guests to come DownUnder to experience our business, cultural, educational and culinary highlights in beautiful Melbourne and surrounds!

We are so excited that our Conference theme will be “Evolution to Revolution” and will be tackling global issues through the lens of women’s leadership. We will create an international spotlight on Victoria and Australia, and generate a platform to critically engage with, and learn from accomplished and aspirational women leaders from across the globe.

No, thank you.
