Craig Fraser is the new Chief Executive Officer at South West Healthcare (SWH). Craig has been employed with SWH since March 2004 and was most recently undertaking the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer for the organisation. Craig’s substantive role with SWH was that of Director of Primary and Community Services. Commencing in April 2008, Craig was the inaugural Director and was responsible for leading and delivering services across a range of health areas including community health, allied health, South West Public Dental Services, Aboriginal health, aged care and District Nursing. Prior to this senior executive role Craig spent three years as the Manager Community Health with SWH. This was a newly created role designed to provide leadership and team development of five community health sites incorporating the chronic illness programs, Warrnambool Community Health, the Aboriginal health unit and the consolidation of public dental services. Prior to his role as the Manager Community Health at SWH, Craig held the position of Executive Officer for South West Primary Care Partnership. Craig had a strong policy and governance focus working with the 28 agency membership across three local government areas to implement a governance model, strategic planning and various community health programs.
