Dr Michael Fotheringham is the new Executive Director at the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI)
Dr Michael Fotheringham is the new Executive Director at the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI). Michael is a research and policy development specialist with demonstrable experience in areas including public health, housing and the elderly, and supported accommodation for people with disabilities. Michael offers expertise in building research programs and policy agendas with a number of not-for-profit, government and academic organisations. In his previous role as Director of Research at Baptcare, Michael established annual organisational and divisional research strategies, and the organisational social policy agenda. Prior to this, Michael was Senior Program Analyst, Ambulance and Maternity Services Program at the Victorian Department of Health where he developed strategic projects for maternity services policy delivery and demand management whilst monitoring health service performance and service delivery. Prior to this, Michael was appointed to the position of General Manager Strategy at Arthritis Victoria where he successfully developed the organisation’s long term research strategies.
