Ian Cushion, the new Chief Train Services at Department of Transport Victoria

Multi-disciplinary railway leader overseeing Victoria’s train services

Ian Cushion has recently been appointed to the position of Chief Train Services at the Department of Transport Victoria. In this role, Ian oversees Victoria’s metropolitan and regional train networks which are the cornerstone of mobility for the community throughout the State.

A Chartered Civil Engineer and multi-disciplinary railway professional, Ian brings over 19 years’ experience working in a range of rail-related management positions and projects. He recently led Canada’s first private light rail network at Keolis, providing strategic direction and operations management. Prior to this he led network operations and performance at Yarra Trams.
