Jason Calvert is the new Head of Quality and Evaluation at Save the Children

Jason Calvert is the new Head of Quality and Evaluation at Save The Children. Jason is an experienced evaluation specialist in the international development sector and previously led the development of monitoring and evaluation with PricewaterhouseCoopers UK (PwC). Jason was responsible for building a team of staff from scratch to 11 people, with an average revenue of £1 million per annum. During his time in this role he designed and conducted technical monitoring and evaluation work for major donor-funded development programs in countries such as; Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Malawi, Myanmar, Nigeria, Palestine, Somalia and Tanzania. Jason has also led the world’s largest quasi-experiment evaluation of educational outcomes for the Department for International Development’s Girls’ Education Challenge. This program spanned 37 projects across 18 countries and included two Save The Children projects in Mozambique and Ethiopia. Previously, Jason undertook a secondment from PwC to the Non-communicable Disease division of the World Health Organisation to support them with research, evaluation and cost-effective analysis.
