Julia Trimboli was appointed as Group Manager Formation & Ethics with St John of God Health Care

Julia demonstrates significant experience gained from within Catholic education and health care organisations, providing her with a depth of understanding of Catholic culture and faith, in addition to Mission from the perspective of Community, Aged Care, Public Health and Private Health.  Since 2015 Julia has held the position of Executive Director Leadership & Mission with Mercy Health where she holds strategic oversight for Formation across the organisation in addition to providing strategic oversight of the three phases of development of Mercy Health’s Strategic Response to Laudato Si 2020-2025.  Significant achievements for Julia include lead Mercy Health’s response to Voluntary Assisted Dying in Victoria. 

Before this Julia was the Director of Mission Services with Cabrini Health where her scope of responsibility included pastoral services, volunteer services and community bereavement service.  Julia held responsibility for Mission Development Committees on seven campuses in addition to the Ethics Portfolio including Clinical Ethics Consultation Service, Clinical Ethics Risk Management Program and Ethics Education Program.  Of note during her appointment, Julia established the Clinical Ethics Consultant Service while also raising awareness and debunking myths about Catholic Health Care Ethics through education activities. 

Previously Julia spent six years with Little Company of Mary Health Care as Director of Mission across two businesses.  At Calvary Health Care Bethlehem Julia was responsible for staff formation and education, pastoral and volunteer services and actioning the Mission Integration Plan.  Julia established an Ethics Education Program and developed the inaugural Executive Retreat.  In her work at Calvary Silver Circle Julia was responsible for Formation and Education, including the induction of new staff across 19 sites in addition to actioning the Mission Integration Plan.
