Kate Reale is the new Deputy Secretary, Strategy and Planning at the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources.  This key role leads integrated transport strategic policy, planning, regulation, demand modelling and analysis across the Transport for Victoria portfolio.

A senior leader in strategy and analytics, Kate has business and consulting experience across diverse sectors including transport, education, health and energy.  In her previous role as Director of Strategy and Analytics at RMIT University she built a strong analytical capability to support management decision making through data analysis and strategic insights.  Kate previously worked at Telstra, commencing as Chief of Staff of the Executive Retail Group, where she provided strategic support and acted as liaison with other key business stakeholders; and later managing the product lifecycle and operational risk as General Manager within the Telstra Products Division.  Kate has also had extensive experience in the Strategy and Operations division at Deloitte, providing advice to a range of clients on setting strategic direction and improving operational performance.
