Michael Tenace is the new Chief Financial Officer at City of Melbourne

Michael Tenace is the new Chief Financial Officer at the City of Melbourne, where oversees the financial stewardship of Council, providing strategic advice and managing subsidiary companies.

An accomplished executive, Michael brings 20 years’ experience with Australia Post, where he led the organisation’s evolution to a more efficient enterprise focussed on customer experiences.  With prior roles as General Manager Procurement and Environment (Chief Procurement Officer) and Chief Investment Officer he led team transformation to a more sustainable procurement focus and ensured capital investment delivered ongoing returns to the $3 billion Future Ready program.  Michael is also a former Director of Australia Post’s superannuation scheme and has managed the modernisation of the superannuation scheme, delivered enhanced Board and Board Audit Committee reporting and been an active member of the Investment Committee.  He was previously Deputy CFO and has acted in the Chief Financial Officer position on a number of occasions.
