Ms Katie Warner is the new Chief Executive Officer at the North East Catchment Management Authority

Ms Katie Warner is the new Chief Executive Officer at the North East Catchment Management Authority. Katie has extensive experience in departmental business development, policy and strategic planning. She previously held the role of Business Development Manager at the Goulburn Broken CMA, where she also acted as their Deputy CEO. In this role Katie oversaw the development of the Goulburn Broken Regional Catchment Strategy as well as led the development of bids for funding such as to the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program Phase 2. Prior to this role she was the Business Development Manager for the Department of Primary Industries – Farm Services Victoria, where she actively contributed to strategy development and implementation, undertook high level consultation with stakeholders and worked with budget services to oversee investment and project budget development. Between 2003 until 2008, Katie also held various roles with the Department of Primary Industries – Strategic Policy Division, her later role being their Senior Policy Officer. In this capacity Katie led the analysis and significant strategic positioning projects for two service delivery divisions, along with leading and facilitating the cross divisional development of the Rural Futures Forum initiative.

In addition, Katie currently serves as President of the Beechworth Health Service Board and maintains a strong interest in her local community. She has a family connection to North East Victoria and has lived in Beechworth since 2008 with her husband, Stuart, and two sons. Katie is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Masters in Public Policy and Management from Monash University.
