Professor Chris McLellan is Head of School (School of Health and Wellbeing) and Head of Ipswich Campus at the University of Southern Queensland

The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) has appointed Professor Christopher McLellan as Head of School (School of Health and Wellbeing) and Head of Ipswich Campus, with responsibility for the quality and performance of the School in teaching and learning, research, professional activities and community engagement, the viability and quality of academic offerings and associated student experience, and for planning and aligning School resources and staffing with Faculty and University strategic objectives.

Prior to joining USQ, Chris spent 13 years at Bond University where he led the development and implementation of curriculum and applied research initiatives across the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in sport and exercise science.  Chris is considered to be an international leader in sports science and strength and conditioning, holding previous Director roles with AFL and rugby league teams.  He has published over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles.
