Professor Jon Wardle is Foundation Director and Maurice Blackmore Chair of Naturopathic Medicine at Southern Cross University
Fisher Leadership has been delighted to continue our partnership with Southern Cross University, leading the appointments of the leadership team of the newly-established National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM). With a strong evidence-based scientific and multidisciplinary research focus, the Centre will play a leading role in postgraduate education and research in naturopathic medicine, while enhancing the future growth and development of the profession.
Professor Jon Wardle has been appointed as the Foundation Director and Maurice Blackmore Chair to provide leadership and strategic direction to the Centre, overseeing the development of its education and research programs, establish and implement management and governance structures and collaborated widely to create strategic relationships with industry and other stakeholders.
With clinical qualifications in nursing and naturopathic medicine in addition to postgraduate training in public health and law, Professor Wardle is an accomplished researcher with over 200 academic publications. A former head of the Regulatory, Policy and Legislative Stream of the Australian Research Centre in Complementary and Integrative Medicine, Jon is also a core committee member of the Public Health Association of Australia’s Research Advisory Group, which promotes and advocates for public health research and development. He joins Southern Cross University from the University of Technology Sydney, where he is a former Associate Professor of Public Health.
