Professor Benjamin Wilson is Head of College (College for First Nations) at the University of Southern Queensland

Fisher Leadership was pleased to continue our relationship with the University of Southern Queensland in the search for a key First Nations leadership position.  UniSQ sought a collegiate leader to foster relationships with diverse stakeholder groups and ensure quality and performance, making a significant impact through innovative and transformative teaching and learning experiences as Head of College (College of First Nations).

Professor Benjamin Wilson has been appointed to this position, bringing his experience in working on ARC projects connected to Indigenous education and Indigenous health.  Belonging to Jagera country and with connections to the lands of the Central Coast of NSW and Brewarrina, Ben joins UniSQ from the University of Canberra, where he was Associate Professor of Education.  A member of the University’s Collaborative Indigenous Research Initiative, Ben further contributed to UC by leading the development of new units focusing on Indigenous ways of knowing for the Faculty of Education and partnered with other faculties to develop approaches to Indigenising the curriculum.

In addition to his work in academia, Ben has worked as a coach, teacher, facilitator and consultant.
