Clare Jennings has been appointed Chief Clinical Governance and Risk Officer at Japara Healthcare

In this position she is responsible for the development and deployment of Japara’s clinical governance framework and risk and innovation programs.

Clare is a leader committed to building an environment and system that creates a seamless customer experience and contributes to the needs of the community.  Prior to this appointment Clare held the position of General Manager Innovation and Quality with Jewish Care.  In that position Clare was responsible for maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System and Risk Management System. 

Before joining Jewish Care, Clare was the General Manager Quality and Program Performance with Uniting Vic/Tas. 

Earlier in her career Clare delivered project support and consulting services across strategy, business development and improvement.  She also held positions as Executive Director Acute Health and Chief Nursing Officer with Northern Health, Director of Nurse at Cabrini and as Associate Director of Nursing at Southern Health.

Clare holds a Masters of Organisational Dynamics from RMIT; a Master of Nursing and a Bachelor of Nursing from Monash University; a Graduate Certificate in Intensive Care Nursing and Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Assessing (Nursing) from Thames Valley University (London) and a Nursing Registration from Mercy Private Hospital.
