Dr. Jacqui Waterkeyn has been appointed to the position of Director, Office for Research with The Royal Melbourne Hospital

Dr. Jacqui Waterkeyn has been appointed to the position of Director, Office for Research with The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) and commenced in November 2022. In this position, Jacqui will provide leadership to the Office of Research and will drive the efficient and effective management of research at RMH. Jacqui will support the delivery of the RMH Research Strategy and provide both strategic and operational management to the Office for Research.

Committed to the Life Sciences, therapeutic product development, hospital and private practice based clinical research and the Biotechnology sectors, Jacqui has over 25 years’ experience in the Industry including regulatory affairs, clinical operations including quality systems, ethics, research governance and legal functional areas.

In her previous role as Director, Sponsor Operations with Orygen, Jacqui was responsible for operational management and corporate entity legal, regulatory and operational representation as Sponsor for all clinical research activities. She established the Research Governance Office for Orygen Primary Services and Clinical Research Support systems for Sponsor. She previously held the position of Head, Clinical Operations with Neuroscience Trials Australia (a niche CRO) and Director, Operations at Nucleus Network (Austin Hospital).
