Dr. Murad Ibrahim has been appointed to the position of Medical Director Knox with Healthscope

Dr. Murad Ibrahim has been appointed to the position of Medical Director Knox with Healthscope commencing 20 September 2022. In this position, Murad will be responsible for overseeing the identification, implementation and evaluation of hospital services to enhance clinical outcomes and compliance with legislative requirements and ACHS accreditation.

Murad is a clinical director and a leader in education and governance who is passionate about clinical governance as well as hospital and business administration, aspiring to provide the highest quality of care to patients and families. Murad has an extensive background as a qualified Respiratory and Sleep Physician, is fully trained in Intensive Care Medicine and has gained extensive experience throughout his career in how business models run, particularly in the private healthcare setting.

Murad is currently Clinical Director of General Medicine at Maroondah Hospital with Eastern Health and is also acting in the role as Executive Director for Quality, Planning and Innovation for Acute Medicine. He previously held the roles of General and Respiratory Physician at Maroondah Hospital with Eastern Health and Respiratory & Sleep Physician with Austin Hospital Victoria. He has an academic appointment at Monash University as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer and he holds post graduate studies as a Doctor of Medical Science (DMedSc) and is currently finishing a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management (GCHCM).
