Elizabeth (Liz) Radcliffe is the Executive Director, People and Culture at the Country Fire Authority (CFA)

Elizabeth (Liz) Radcliffe is the Executive Director, People and Culture at the Country Fire Authority (CFA). Liz is an experienced public sector leader with a breadth of experience across areas including civil engineering, environment protection, regulation and emergency management.

Liz commenced her career as an engineering and environmental consultant and spent a decade consulting in Australia, UK, UAE and Hong Kong. On returning to Australia, Liz joined the Environment Protection Authority, (EPA) in 2000 where she held a number of leadership positions over a 15 year period, her most recent position being Executive Director, Regional Services in 2014. In 2015 Liz assumed a secondment as Regional Director for the Eastern Region at Parks Victoria (PV) and on completing that assignment was asked to remain at PV to work on Business Process Improvement.  Liz then assumed a position as Director Stakeholder Engagement and Strategy at the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR) where she was responsible for providing high-level, state-wide strategic advice and situational analysis to the Minister for Energy and Resources and other senior executives.

Commencing with the CFA in March 2017, Liz was initially appointed as the Director, Workplace Relations responsible for leading the development and implementation of both the Professional and Technical Staff and Operational Staff Enterprise Agreements. Shortly after commencing she was asked to take on the role of leading the implementation of the Andrews Government May 2017 Fire Services Statement. Liz assumed the Acting Executive Director, People and Culture role in December 2017 and was formally appointed to the role in April.
