Fiona McLaughlin has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer with the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office (VGSO) and commenced in February 2024. In this position, Fiona will lead the organisation with an enabling mindset, corporate services support and a strong business partnership approach.
Fiona has spent two decades in the Victorian Public Sector and is well regarded. She brings strong networks and existing relationships which she can leverage to improve outcomes for the VGSO. Fiona spent time at the Victorian Legal Aid where they had a workforce of 800, majority being lawyers. Fiona brings evidenced examples of promoting excellence in service delivery and building a positive and people-centric organisational culture.
Fiona was the Executive Director, Corporate Services at the Royal Botanic Gardens for over four years. Prior to this, Fiona worked for the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning as the Director of Corporate Operations Solar Transition.
