Glenn Ryan AM is Chief Executive Officer of Aviation Australia

Glenn Ryan AM has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Aviation Australia.  This important position provides critical industry leadership at a time of significant growth, with opportunities for development, both in Australia and internationally.  In addition to ensuring the effective and efficient management of the organisation and working with the Board to set the strategic direction, the CEO will grow revenue and opportunity, driving inspirational outcomes and creating an inclusive and creative culture. The CEO will also advocate for the organisation, and the sector more broadly, in developing the next generation of workforce for the aviation industry.

Glenn brings a wealth of experience, and a distinguished career in both the commercial and military sectors.  With a diverse background including key positions such as Chief of Staff and Chief Operations Officer at Forces Command, and as Chief Instructor at 1st Recruit Training Battalion, Glenn has more recently led the country’s largest training operation as Director General of the Australian Army’s Executive Training Authority.  A secondment to Westpac Banking Corporation showcased Glenn’s adaptability, and his remarkable career has been recognised with prestigious awards, including being appointed a Member of the Order of Australia and the United States Meritorious Service Medal.
