Jane Anderson is the new Latrobe Health Advocate reporting directly to the Minister of Health (VIC). Jane offers over 17 years’ experience at Anglicare with 12 of those years in a regional leadership position. Her background includes over a decade as a Victoria Police Officer and seven years as a practicing lawyer and advocate. At Anglicare she managed the budget, staff, and offices in Morwell, Warragul, Leongatha, Bairnsdale and Wonthaggi. In this capacity Jane also had responsibility for leading the strategic, operational, and quality performance of programs within Gippsland. In addition, she held an Acting Director Client Services role with accountability for all regional activity across the state, including staff management, business development and clinical practice. Prior to this, she was a Solicitor and Team Leader within the Gippsland Community Legal Service. She provided community legal services to people who live, work or study in Gippsland, with a particular focus on disadvantaged groups and those with special needs. Earlier in her career, at Tyler Tipping & Woods Barristers and Solicitors, she was accountable for client consultations, court appearances, and case management as the solicitor in charge at the Moe satellite office.
