Jane French is the new Executive Director of Child Wise at Save the Children Australia.

Jane French is the new Executive Director of Child Wise at Save the Children Australia. In her most recent role Jane was the Director of Children, Youth and Families at MacKillop Family Services where she was responsible for operational delivery of programs responding to vulnerable children, youths and families. Prior to this Jane was the General Manager for 1800RESPECT, holding responsibility for the overall service delivery for the national initiative that formed a central platform of the Government’s national plan to reduce violence against woman and their children.  Previously Jane was the Director of Human Services at Medibank Health Solutions, where she was responsible for Medibank Health Solutions’ human services delivery.  During this time Jane managed a key relationship with the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, working closely with them to design, implement and deliver a telephone intake, counselling and support service for victims of child sexual abuse.  Jane was also the Head of Corporate Affairs at Medibank, where she was responsible for leading a team focused on government relations, thought leadership, internal communications, media and public relations. Prior to joining Medibank, Jane was a Manager in the Health and Human Services Practice of KPMG responsible for a range of medium to large scale projects across Australia. Jane began her working career as an Advocate in the Office of the Public Advocate for people with a disability before beginning a 16 year stint with the Department of Human Services in various roles across their Child Protection Program including as a practitioner, manager, and trainer.  As the new Executive Director of Child Wise, Jane will head an organisation focussed on safeguarding children through working with organisations around Australia to ensure they are child safe.
