Jonathan Leake, the new Director Sector Development at Solar Victoria

Jonathan Leake is the new Director Sector Development at Solar Victoria, where he is responsible for ensuring the renewables industry and workforce has the required investment, training and innovation to meet program targets and continuously improve over the lifetime of the program.

Jonathan brings a breadth of experience across a range of roles delivering priority government programs and complex policy reform in addition to provision of legal, policy and program advice across a range of contexts and stakeholders. Jonathan has held several leadership positions at Sustainability Victoria. He was most recently responsible for operationalising and delivering the first year of the Solar Homes program, establishing a new business unit at Sustainability Victoria, undertaking workforce planning, recruitment of staff and overall program delivery. Prior to this he provided strategic leadership of Sustainability Victoria’s business, residential and built environment energy portfolio, following roles in waste and resource recovery programs and infrastructure planning and reform. Before joining Sustainability Victoria, Jonathan was a solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons for a number of years.
