Luke Buzaglo will be the inaugural HR Director at Haileybury School

Developing, leading and delivering the Haileybury people strategy

Luke will be the inaugural HR Director at Haileybury School. In this position Luke will deliver a people-strategy with solutions to enhance business performance and support the achievement of Haileybury’s business strategy, core purpose and objectives.

Luke is a highly experienced HR generalist and change leader with expertise in managing people, processes and projects in matrix environments. 

Luke has gained his experience across EMEA, the Americas and Asia Pacific.  He had built a career with Baker & McKenzie (global Law Firm) that spanned over 16 years with his most recent position as Director of Global Organisational Development Projects.  Reporting directly to the Global Head of People Luke was originally based in London in this role, before returning to Melbourne in May 2015.  Luke was responsible for consulting with all global offices on HR processes and challenges in order to create consistent and effective best practice. Luke partnered with teams across technology, finance and marketing to deliver on projects while also providing advice to local, regional and global leadership.

Significant achievements for Luke in this role include leading the design and implementation of two global competency frameworks, the successful management of the firm’s first employee engagement survey and the creation of a new central mobility functional team and advisory group.
