Over the last ten years Fisher Leadership has enjoyed a continuing relationship with Melbourne Grammar School (MGS), a preeminent Anglican day and boarding school predominantly for boys. Our ongoing engagement with the school has allowed us to develop a deep and thorough knowledge of the school and its imperatives. During our partnership with the school we have undertaken a number of senior leadership positions across both teaching and administration areas. ​

Fisher Leadership conducted the search to appoint the Head of Grimwade House, which provides co-education for Prep to Year 6. A broad and comprehensive executive search was taken across Australia and New Zealand with targeted search completed across the United Kingdom with the search focussed on seasoned leaders with extensive experience operating with a strategic and high-profile environment. Mr Royce Helm was appointed to the position of Head of Grimwade House from the start of Term 2, 2016. Previously Royce was the Headmaster of Southwell School, located in Hamilton in New Zealand, for thirteen years and before that the Headmaster of St George’s School in Wanganui in New Zealand. ​

A demonstration of Fisher Leadership’s ability to guide the selection of outstanding candidates in school leadership roles include the appointment of the Deputy Headmaster/Head of Senior School Mr Nick Evans in 2014. After four years in this position it was announced that Nick had been appointed to the position of Principal at Wesley College and Fisher Leadership was then engaged to complete the search to appoint a new Deputy Headmaster/Head of Senior School. Mr Ben Hanisch was the successful appointee commencing in July 2019. Ben brought to the position a strong history of involvement in delivering education for boys, combined with 15 years of earlier experience with Melbourne Grammar School. Prior to joining MGS School Ben held the position of Deputy Headmaster/Head of Senior School with St Peter’s College in Adelaide. ​

The Fisher Leadership Interim Management team supported MGS with the appointment of an interim Director of HR commencing in May 2019 during the transition between Headmasters. In late 2020 Fisher Leadership commenced the search for the permanent appointment, drawing on strong known networks within the School sector, while also presenting highly qualified candidates with transferable skills from other sectors such as Health. Ms Dorothy Tselios was confirmed as the successful appointment and will commence in Term 2 2021.​
