Mr. Dale Dickson has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer with the City of Stonnington

Mr. Dale Dickson has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer with the City of Stonnington and commenced in late July 2023. In this position, Dale will play a crucial role in leading the Stonnington City to deliver the One Stonnington Transformation Program and Future Stonnington Community Vision 2040 for the organisation.

Mr Dickson is a highly experienced and respected leader who brings a strong ethos for public service, passion for innovation and experience with governance, advocacy, city planning, public policy and management.

Dale joins the City of Stonnington after having served most recently as the Chief Executive Officer of the Mount Isa City Council and putting in place a range of measures to ensure the improved governance, financial performance and overall stability of this important regional city. Prior to this, Dale was the Chief Executive Officer of the City of Gold Coast for eighteen years, and the Whitsunday Shire Council for five years.

Dale has served as a Board Member of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Organising Corporation, the 2018 Commonwealth Games Infrastructure Authority, the Gold Coast Suns, the Gold Coast Arts Centre and the Gold Coast City Council Insurance Company.

Dale commenced his local government career with the City of Melbourne, before moving to Queensland.
