Ms Anika Hewett has been appointed as Director of Community Engagement with Mentone Girls’ Grammar

Anika is an accomplished marketing and student recruitment professional with over 10 years’ experience in the education, tourism, transport and performing arts sectors.  Anika joined Box Hill Institute in 2015, initially as Marketing Manager before moving into her current role as Executive Manager – Marketing and Student Recruitment.  In her role Anika is responsible for marketing, communications, student recruitment, events, alumni and community engagement.  With a focus on developing strategies that enhance brand reputation and maximise enrolments, Anika has implemented a range of initiatives during her appointment. These include developing a new website, implementing marketing automation and repositioning the Box Hill Institute brand, generating a 15% increase in brand awareness.  Before joining Box Hill Institute, Anika was the Marketing and Sales Manager at Transit Australia Group. With responsibility for marketing, sales and public relations, Anika developed and implemented the B2B and B2C marketing plans, directed national tourism campaigns and generated an increase in revenue as a result of new tourism partnerships. Prior to this Anika worked with Think Education, managing the marketing and student acquisition activities for Queensland, increasing revenue by approximately $2.4M per annum and enrolments by 35%.
