Ms. Dani Smith has been appointed to the position of General Manager Monash Children’s with Monash Health

Ms. Dani Smith has been appointed to the position of General Manager Monash Children’s with Monash Health and commenced on 12 December 2022. In this position, key areas of emphasis for Dani include development and implementation of Program strategy and operational plans, leadership of performance improvement in quality and safety, excellence in clinical practice, and development of key partnerships.

Dani presents with over 20 years’ experience in a large, complex, public hospital environment.  Over this period Dani has developed skills and experience across operational delivery, service improvement, change management and management of internal and external stakeholders.

Before joining Monash Health, Dani was previously with the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne for 20 years in various positions. Most recently she was seconded into the positions of Chief Operating Officer Support, Acting Chief Operating Officer and COVID-19 Coordinator with her substantive position as Director Ambulatory Services.
