Safe Steps, partnering with Fisher Leadership, is pleased to announce the appointment of Janine Sherrard as the Director, Client Services.

The Director, Client Services plays a critical role overseeing and evolving the effective delivery of Safe Steps’ 24/7 Crisis Services including its Residential Services program. Janine’s role will build team capability to lead and mentor direct reports and front-line staff, as well as increase collaboration, co-design opportunities, supervision, and staff wellbeing. As part of the Executive team, she will support the strategic development of the organisation and work with the CEO to ensure the effectiveness of Safe Steps and the services it provides.

Janine has worked in the health, disability, and community services sectors for over 25 years and is highly experienced in senior and executive management of teams delivering client services in multi-site, complex environments at both state and national level. Her most recent role as Chief Operating Officer at Refuge Victoria saw her lead a service delivery team of approximately 40 staff in delivering case management and supported accommodation to victim survivors escaping family violence. Her focus within her teams is on building consistent and high-quality practice incorporating collaboration, critical reflection, and open communication… blended with support, humour and fun!
