The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing is pleased to announce the appointment of Jodi Henderson as Chief Practitioner, Community Operations and Practice Leadership.

The Chief Practitioner leads the Office of Professional Practice, a team of specialists across multiple disciplines, to work to improve outcomes for Victorians in need. The role drives ongoing best practice and provides expert clinical advice from individual and systemic perspectives.

Jodi is a senior public service leader with 30 years’ experience in both metropolitan and rural contexts. Her most recent role as the Commissioner for Youth Justice within the Department of Justice and Community Safety saw her lead a team of over 1000 staff to develop and deliver a new vision for youth justice services in Victoria. Her commitment to children and vulnerable communities has led to vital improvements in service delivery, especially in education, regional and youth justice services.
