Ms. Kathryn Riddell has been appointed to the position of Executive Director, Nursing and Allied Health with The Royal Children’s Hospital

Ms. Kathryn Riddell has been appointed to the position of Executive Director, Nursing and Allied Health with The Royal Children’s Hospital and commenced 29 August 2022. In this position Kathryn will have a strong strategic and leadership focus across areas including nursing and allied health workforce planning, quality and professional standards, education and professional development, and research and quality.

With a career spanning over thirty years, Kathryn is a highly experienced nursing leader who demonstrates more than 10 years’ executive level professional and operational experience within the Victorian public health sector.

She previously held the positions of Executive Chief Nursing Officer with St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and before this held various positions spanning 12 years with Eastern Health including Executive Director: Learning and Teaching & Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer, Deputy Chief Nursing Midwifery Officer & Director Practice Development and Nursing Midwifery Workforce and Director: Practice Development & Nursing Midwifery Workforce.
