Ms. Marcia Gough is the new Chief People and Culture Officer at Austin Health

Marcia is an experienced senior HR Executive with significant human resources and leadership experience, gained across a number of sectors, including education, manufacturing, consulting, professional services, telecommunications and high technology, with a strong strategic and operational understanding of tertiary education.

Marcia’s most recent appointment was that of Vice-President People, Planning & Culture with Swinburne University of Technology. Marcia was responsible for the full range of Human Resource activities including Payroll, Health & Safety, University wide Planning, and Media and Communications.

Prior to this, Marcia held the position of Executive Director HR with RMIT University for nearly nine years, where she held full responsibility for the global people and culture agenda, focusing on transforming the HR team to a contemporary and customer driven function while also improving staff engagement and health and safety performance.
