Ms. Monika Wheeler has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Healthy North Coast

Ms. Monika Wheeler has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Healthy North Coast (HNC). In this position, Monika will lead a dedicated team to adapt and respond to the changing regional landscape in the provision of health care and will build on the current momentum within the HNC catchment to deliver results through vision and innovation.

Monika has extensive primary health care expertise and presents with a diverse career spanning 20 years across local, state, national and international government and not-for-profit organisations. Monika has driven improved population health outcomes in the areas of primary care access, workforce development, ageing and aged care, social inclusion, domestic violence, sexual assault, Aboriginal health, immunisation and cancer screening.

For the last ten years, Monika has been employed by Healthy North Coast in various positions where she has developed her expertise to effectively lead the delivery of the Primary Health Network Program on the North Coast.
