Sylvia commenced her career as an external auditor, engaging in a career with international and Australian clients with Tier 1 audit firms. In 2011 Sylvia transitioned to internal finance roles in the not-for-profit and education sector.

Prior to joining Loreto, Sylvia held the position of Chief Financial Officer/ Director of Corporate Services with Flinders Christian Community College. Reporting to the Principal and working closely with the Board, Sylvia led a change in the entity type of the College from an Incorporated Association to a Company Limited by Guarantee.

Previously Sylvia held the position of CFO/Business Manager with YBR Colleges and related entities, one of the largest Jewish business organisations in Australia catering for over 1,200 students across a network of educational facilities.

Earlier Sylvia spent nearly five and a half years with Ruyton Girls’ School as Finance Manager where she managed and led a finance team of four, providing financial support and services across all levels of the School, including the Leadership Team and Board.
