Ms. Wendy Zernike has been appointed to the position of Chief Nursing Officer with Healthscope

Ms. Wendy Zernike has been appointed to the position of Chief Nursing Officer with Healthscope and will commence in October 2023. In this position, Wendy will advance the vision for nursing experience and professional practice whilst providing strategic advice to the Healthscope Executive and Board. She will provide clinical leadership to all nursing staff, fostering a culture that values excellence in patient safety and quality care.

Wendy is a highly experienced executive in clinical governance in the aged and health care sectors. Wendy holds key skills in managing regulatory and compliance issues and demonstrates strong risk, governance and crisis management experience. With a deep understanding of customer experience and engagement and delivering on strategies for improved performance, Wendy is focused on active community participation and is highly skilled at relationship and stakeholder management.

Wendy most recently held the position of Executive General Manager – Care, Innovation & Quality with Bolton Clarke and before that held several positions with The Wesley Hospital for UnitingCare Queensland, including Director of Clinical Education and Director of Business and Service Development.
