The Position
Supporting a rapidly growing and diverse region, the Central Highlands Water Board seeks to appoint its next Managing Director (MD). The values driven MD will bring the necessary leadership, organisational drive and foresight to provide excellence in water, wastewater and recycled water services to deliver ongoing improved customer value and satisfaction, whilst embracing innovation, responsible asset management and digital technology in order to contribute to regional prosperity.
Working as part of a highly committed board, the MD leads an executive management team responsible for delivering on the Vision of: “Our Water, Our Customers, Healthy Living” with clearly defined values of integrity, teamwork, leadership and care. The MD will focus on the Board’s strategic priorities of sustainability, customer and community, business agility and a safe, capable and empowered workforce in an ever changing and complex operating environment.
The successful appointee will demonstrate a track record of senior executive leadership gained in a relevant complex and demanding commercial service delivery environment, where customer focused delivery is critical. With strengths in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and risk management, the ideal candidate will bring a proven reputation in contemporary Environmental, Social and
Governance (ESG) leadership. Appropriate tertiary qualifications are expected.
