The Position
The Head of School provides leadership in the integrated development and delivery of the teaching, research and academic activities of the School, with responsibility for promoting its distinctive contribution to education and research. Ensuring the activities and plans underpin the LIVE The Future Agenda 2020, this key leadership role will further build on the School and Faculty’s strong reputation.
Reporting to the Executive Dean, Faculty of Health, the Head of School sets the vision for the School and leads teams across multiple campuses to deliver world class undergraduate and graduate courses and maintain its acclaimed international research standing.  Embracing multi-modal delivery, including cutting-edge digital education, the School attracts a national and international student cohort.
With a track record in academic leadership and the ability to provide strategic leadership in the development of programs, the Head of School will bring an outstanding track record in teaching and research, including success in obtaining external research funding.  The appointee will demonstrate the ability to build and unite interdisciplinary teams, manage resources and create a shared vision to develop and realise the potential of the School.  A PhD in a relevant discipline is essential.
