The Alcohol and Drug Foundation is seeking to appoint a leader to the position of Board Chair, who is driven by the challenge to lead a growing organisation that provides outstanding programs and services to support communities across Australia.  With a truly national footprint the Foundation’s work reaches millions of people in local communities through sporting clubs, workplaces, health care settings and schools, offering educational information, drug and alcohol prevention programs and advocating for strong and healthy communities.
In partnership with the Board, the Chair provides effective leadership of the Board, including effective conduct of Board meetings, open communication internally between management and the Board, and externally between the ADF and its external stakeholders. The Chair will represent the Board at public events and in key stakeholder meetings such as government and philanthropic organisations.
The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with strong alignment with the ADF values and positions. With a well-respected profile and exhibiting excellent interpersonal, advocacy and networking presence, you will be capable of enhancing ADF’s impact. Drawing on experience as a Board Chair or President you will demonstrate extensive knowledge of corporate governance, strategic planning and be excited by the opportunity to inspire positive change.
