The dynamic and evolving provider of disability and child and youth services, Possability, seeks to appoint a new Director to its Board.
Working with a Board of skilled and committed professionals, the new Board Director will be responsible for contributing to the strategic direction for the organisation and for the achievement of the highest standards of governance.
The new Board Director will have the opportunity to join one of Possability’s four sub-committees. These committees are:
- Quality & Safeguarding Committee
- Governance Committee
- Finance Audit Investment Risk Committee
- Strategy (Business Insights) Committee
The new Board Director will ideally have previous experience in Board or Committee management, governance, constitutions and strategic planning. Knowledge and experience of the community / disability services industry, adult safeguarding/child protection practices and/or mental health will be advantageous. To round out the skill mix already on the Board, a background in marketing/communications and/or IR will be considered favourably as will a qualification from the AICD. In addition to this, the Board would welcome an individual with lived experience of a disability.
This position can be based anywhere in Australia. Some interstate travel will be required.
