The Position
MS Limited seeks to appoint a financial and risk governance expert to join the Board as Chair, Audit & Risk Committee. The Board Member will be responsible for contributing to the appropriate strategic direction for the organisation and for the achievement of the highest standards of governance.
The Audit & Risk Committee plays a crucial role in assisting the Board to fulfil its governance responsibilities in exercising due care, diligence and skill. As Chair, Audit & Risk Committee the Board Member will have responsibility for managing the effective performance of the Audit & Risk Committee and for developing and maintaining a contemporary and effective audit and risk governance approach for the organisation.
As a CA and/or CPA and ideally a graduate of the AICD, the Board Member – Chair Audit & Risk will have an exemplary background in finance, risk, accounting and audit. Highly commercial, the Board Member will have gained executive and non-executive experience within the not for profit or community services settings. Presenting as a contemporary thinker who has a high level of emotional intelligence, the Board Member will identify with the MS Limited values of respect, care, commitment and leadership, and will be able to demonstrate commitment to applying principles of good governance. Previous Board level experience is preferred.
