The Position

The NDIA is seeking a proven leader to fill the Branch Manager Market Innovation role (SES Band 1) who will contribute to strategic policy development and program delivery aimed at achieving the NDIA’s mission in building a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme. Achieving success in this role will require exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, liaison, communication and writing skills, as well as flexibility and resilience.

Reporting to the General Manager Providers and Market Co-ordination, this role provides operational and functional leadership that contributes to designing, developing and implementing innovative provider and market solutions which can be scaled – including those identified through the NDIA Reform for Outcomes initiatives and the NDIS Review. The role currently has 5 direct reports covering Social. Community Participation, Civic Payments (SCCP), Employment Markets, Blended Payments & Outcomes, Major Projects and Assisted Technology.

The role will foster innovation and advise on international best practice and facilitate change in the employment market to improve sustainable outcomes for people with disabilities and liaise with the sector, governments and across the NDIA to achieve optimal participant outcomes and value for money.

Your exceptional stakeholder relationship skills, collegiate personal style, and ability to develop trust and respect will enable you to contribute to the building of the internal capability and high-performance culture of the Agency.


The Agency

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is responsible for implementing the world leading National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms since Medicare. As an Agency, THE NDIA support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and provide peace of mind for every Australian.
