About the role

As a Branch Manager in the People Culture & Wellbeing Division (PC&W), you have the unique opportunity to directly shape and support a high-performing organisation.

You will work with Branch Managers across PC&W to drive continuous improvement and develop a professional and proactive people, culture and wellbeing function.  You will build capability to deliver a quality and consistent experience for managers and staff across the NDIA nationally and enable them to achieve their objectives.  As part of the leadership team, you will lead engagement and champion inclusion to support the health, wellbeing, and performance of our people.

You will collaborate with teams across the Agency to ensure understanding of role responsibilities and expectations, and how it contributes to caring for the safety and wellbeing of all team members.

About you

You value partnership, genuine co-design, and respect diverse ideas and perspectives.  Because of this, your experience is both broad and deep – possibly gained outside of traditional HR roles but with a willingness to try new approaches, take risks and learn.

You understand that for the Scheme to succeed, it is critical that we listen and work with our participants, their families and carers and the disability community to make sure each improvement is a step in the right direction and the Scheme is available for generations to come.


About the NDIA

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory agency. We are responsible for implementing the world leading National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms since Medicare.  The NDIS is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and provide peace of mind for every Australian.

The People Culture and Wellbeing Division (PC&W) is crucial to supporting and building a high-performing and operationally excellent NDIA and enabling other areas of NDIA to get things done.

What you should know

To be eligible for employment with the NDIA, you must be an Australian citizen. A candidate’s suitability for employment with the Agency will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process. This will include a criminal history check and the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance, at the Negative Vetting 1 level. This will be arranged for you, if successful.
