Chair
- Making inclusive employment and social procurement work for business
- Join a collaborative and expert board with a clear purpose
- Influence across government, business, and community
The Position
We are seeking expressions of interest for the next Chair and board member of Jobsbank Limited, a not-for-profit organisation that collaborates with employers to build inclusive workplaces and diversify their workforces.
The role requires bringing strategic leadership to the board and supporting the Chief Executive Officer in an exciting phase of growth for the organisation as it diversifies and expands its offering to the market. A business development focus is critical, skills in managing and advocating with key Government stakeholders and a lateral view of how the organisation can open new opportunities in Victoria and nationally.
Key stakeholders include Victorian Government, corporates, employers, clients, financial supporters, and other aligned social venture partners.
This vacancy follows the impending departure of a highly credentialled Chair who provided values driven leadership and exceptional stakeholder relations support.
The Board currently has six Directors with staggered three terms and the positions are honoury.
You will come to the role with board experience and a reputation for the highest levels of integrity and ethics with well-established networks and senior connections.
Areas of experience and capabilities of particular interest are consultancy and business development, commercial background, and strong advocacy particularly at all levels of Government.
Understanding and experience of government and/or social enterprise sectors is desirable, and you will bring a commitment to improve the diversity of the Board across a range of areas.
The AICD qualification is expected or a commitment to complete the accreditation.
