Launch Housing is an independent Melbourne based community organisation with a single mission: To end homelessness. Through partnerships, research and evidence-based approaches, Launch Housing continues the tradition of pioneering new methods and fresh ways to develop sustainable solutions to homelessness. As a large and impactful organisation with over 400 staff and turnover exceeding $100M, Launch Housing supports some of Victoria’s most vulnerable community members with a range of services so that everyone has the possibility to thrive.
Reporting to the CEO and with direct access to the Board of Directors, the Chief Commercial Officer will lead all commercial and investment aspects of the enterprise and play a key role in formulating and delivering strategic and operational plans. Most importantly this position will drive future growth and manage all commercial activities to support and identify opportunities for sustainable impact. This will include leveraging debt and equity contributions from state and federal governments and private partners to create more social value. The position will empower business partnering, delivering financial and management accounting insights, alongside project delivery, regulatory, risk management and technology matters. The role leads three direct reports and an overall team of approximately fifteen committed staff.
The role has a focus on technology enablement, driving sustainable growth and building collaborative internal business partnerships. You will bring an energy for success, build effective relationships and promote innovative ways of working. Strength in legal, contractual and commercial negotiations is also desired.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record in a public, social impact or private setting of successfully delivering value adding corporate services, along with significant experience working with and advising executive leaders and Boards on strategic growth and business model effectiveness.
CPA/CA qualifications are sought.
