  • Demonstrate outstanding leadership and promote continuous improvement

The Opportunity
East Grampians Health Service seeks to appoint a highly talented and dynamic values based leader to become its next Chief Executive and lead the organisation through the development, operationalisation and implementation of its next strategic plan.
A key community position, it requires an individual who is committed to identifying and leveraging opportunities in a rural location.
Reporting to the Board, and guiding a strong and stable Executive team, the CE will be responsible for leading an effective workforce that delivers appropriate health care within the parameters of government policy, financial responsibility and demographic need. The CE will build on a culture of continuous improvement and innovation and will drive new initiatives that enhance the Health Service’s reputation as a provider of excellent service and an employer of choice.
Equipped with senior leadership experience gained in a healthcare setting, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement with strategic, analytical and commercial skills in management and service delivery. Ideally knowledgeable about Public Health sector funding and of clinical governance and risk, the appointee will be recognised as being a passionate advocate for people and education. This role will suit someone who understands the complexities of living in a rural community and who seeks to make a real commitment to the community in which they live and work.
