The Position
Australian Red Cross Lifeblood (Lifeblood) seeks to appoint a strategic and collaborative senior executive to the position of Chief Executive (CE) to ensure ongoing transformation and sustainable growth for the organisation.
Reporting to the Lifeblood Board and operating in accordance with the Red Cross Society Fundamental Principles, the CE will lead and manage the organisation to deliver on strategic and business plans.  Future challenges will include an increasing demand for plasma along with the requirement to adapt to an ever-changing environment to meet the expectations of stakeholders and the needs of the community. Further, leading digital transformation across the uses of automation and data science whilst increasing consumer engagement and continual services improvement will also be key areas.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional CEO or senior executive, with proven experience in driving operational excellence across a multi-disciplinary geographically diverse organisation. With demonstrated experience in significantly influencing sustainable growth and service quality in a large, complex-structured organisation, the appointee will balance commerciality with integrity and stakeholder sensitivity.  Key capabilities for success will include a strong strategic mindset, exceptional communication and influencing skills, and a commitment to research and clinical excellence.  The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong alignment to the values and purpose of Lifeblood and will strive to maintain a focus on people and innovation.
