The Australian Dental Council (ADC) seeks to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer to support the ongoing growth and development of the organisation. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a key leadership role responsible for providing strategic direction, vision and effective management of the ADC. The CEO plays a crucial role in the development and implementation of strategic plans, cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing quality structures and systems to support the expanding activities for the day-to-day operations, and upholding the ADC’s reputation for excellence and integrity.
Reporting to the ADC Board, and working closely with the Board Chair, the CEO will ensure the mission and objectives of the organisation are met. The CEO currently fulfils the role of Company Secretary for the ADC. As an advocate and spokesperson for the ADC, the CEO will represent the organisation both nationally and internationally. The appointee will have prior experience working with a Board in partnership to assist in setting and implementing organisational strategy. Experience gained within a health or not-for-profit environment will be highly regarded, while tertiary qualifications in health policy, business management or other discipline related to the core work of the ADC are essential.
The Australian Dental Council is an independent accreditation authority, assigned the accreditation functions for the dental professions by the Dental Board of Australia under the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme (NRAS).
