The Position
The Environment Protection Act 2017 came into effect on 1 July 2018, establishing EPA as an independent statutory authority and legislating the role of a Governing Board and Chief Executive Officer. The role of CEO presents an exciting opportunity to lead the transformation of EPA to a world-class regulator.
The CEO will drive the development of a high-performing organisation, with the systems, strategies and culture to deliver EPA’s statutory functions and enforcement obligations to the highest standard. As the head of EPA, this position provides authoritative and expert advice, support and recommendations to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the organisation’s mandate.
Bringing strategic vision and leadership to deliver quality services to community, industry and government, you will be an experienced executive with highly developed operational insight and capability. With excellent stakeholder and community consultation skills you will bring a track record in leading major and complex change within a medium to large sized organisation. You will be a contemporary leader and have confidence as EPA’s key spokesperson. Tertiary qualifications are expected, with relevant technical/scientific knowledge highly desirable.
