The Position
The Board of State Schools’ Relief (SSR) is seeking an outstanding candidate as Chief Executive Officer to lead the delivery of quality services that meet the needs of parents and students at a critical time in their life. The CEO will design and implement SSR’s strategic, operational, financial objectives and is expected to be an exceptional values driven leader.
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead a dedicated team of skilled professionals and volunteers to deliver a range of services in line with community need. The CEO will provide expert advice on financial management, operational and service delivery matters and further deepen relationships with government and community partners.
You are an executive driven to make a difference within the community and will offer strong personal values consistent with those of State Schools’ Relief. As an experienced and inspiring leader, you have demonstrated success building capability, managing resources, engaging with a range of stakeholders and enhancing operational potential. Your commercial acumen and strategic nous will enable the organisation to further build its community impact. Backgrounds spanning procurement, retail management, e-commerce would be valuable, however broader management experience and an association with a not for profit would be welcome. Relevant tertiary qualifications desired.
State Schools’ Relief
State Schools’ Relief is a Victorian Not for Profit Charity that provides social, financial and material support (through uniforms) for students and families of Victorian Primary School students.
The organisation, through the support of the Victorian Department of Education and Training strives to ensure that all Victorian Students can consistently attend and be engaged at school and create a greater sense of belonging and self-esteem.
