The Position
The VincentCare Board is seeking an outstanding Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead a dynamic team to drive excellence and bring the organisation through to the next stage of significant growth.
Reporting to the VincentCare Board, the CEO will lead the implementation of the strategic Plan roadmap 2018-2023 of the organisation in alignment with their vision, mission and values. Responsible for over 350 staff, the CEO will demonstrate a strong commitment to the purpose and aspirations of VincentCare and be an influential voice on housing and homelessness while ensuring the financial viability and sustainability of the organisation. The CEO will create and maintain a valued public profile and positively build strong, collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure VincentCare meets its legislative and compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate will offer a track record of promoting innovation, quality service delivery, advocating evidence-based solutions, and be an influential voice in the sector. Your experience in overseeing prudent financial planning and organisational stewardship will be important, along with an understanding of the corporate governance relationship between Board and CEO. You will also have proven ability in shaping a positive organisational culture. This significant position requires a passionate, visionary entrepreneur with broad-based experience and a strong commitment to the values of VincentCare. In addition to sound business skills, an understanding of the complexity of human services support is essential. A relevant tertiary qualification in human services, business administration or equivalent is required.
The Organisation
VincentCare was established by the Society of St Vincent de Paul to accept responsibility for the Society’s services for disadvantaged and vulnerable people including those who are homeless, mentally and physically disabled, and suffering from forms of substance abuse. Providing an extensive range of structured social services and support including accommodation, case management and outreach, VincentCare, often in partnership with government programs, acts as an advocate for vulnerable and disadvantaged people, respecting their dignity and rights, and understanding their needs so as to provide them with support and encouragement and enable greater self-dependence.
