The Position
Bendigo Community Health Services (BCHS) seeks to appoint a contemporary and dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead the delivery of best-practice, high quality integrated health services that strengthen the capacity of individuals and communities across the Bendigo and Loddon-Mallee region.
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will oversee the management of the BCHS operations ensuring integration of all functions and activities and the effective delivery of services and programs in line with the strategic plan. The CEO will engage with a wide range of stakeholders to identify and leverage opportunities for alternate funding and will provide vision and leadership to staff and support a diverse and inclusive culture where employees are highly engaged.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a contemporary leadership style, combined with exceptional commercial acumen and excellent communication skills. Equipped with strong financial management and strategic business planning capabilities, the appointee will demonstrate a thorough understanding of delivering high quality health service improvement models and the ability to develop new business development initiatives. Tertiary level business or health management related qualifications required.

Bendigo Community Health Services (BCHS) is a significant not-for-profit organisation that works hand in hand with the local community to achieve healthier lives. With around 220 staff (totalling approximately 135 FTEs) and sites in Central Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat, Eaglehawk and Elmore, BCHS cares for everyone in its community – no matter who they are, where they live or how much they earn.
BCHS provides a range of primary and community health services that are mostly free or have minimal cost.
